Turtles!

There’s this turtle, just across the road,
Rugged, Naïve, just out of place.

“I’m going to get out of here,” It laughs wholeheartedly,
“As soon as I get off this road,”

“We would most certainly happy to help, just tell us where it is.” They all said.

“No,” while waving them off “I’m perfectly fine,”

“I can’t stop now, not while I’m so close.”

“I just need to hold my breath for the moment.”

Now there’s this turtle, just below the steep road,
Scarred, worn out, clear signs from a long hike.

“What do you know, I’m actually made it this far,” it smile warmly, while gasping for air,
“Now I just need to get around here,”

“We’re all willing to help, just tell us where it is.” Still eagerly, they all said.

“Oh no,” turning its head away “I’m just fine,”

“I cannot be stopped; it’s almost within my reach,”

“Just need to hold my breath for the moment.”

Then there’s this turtle, standing nervously on the crossroad,
Ruined, hurt, colors from its shell just falling off.

“Ah, not so difficult after all,” it smiles, pale and empty,
“Off I go then,”

“We want to help, just tell us where it is!” They demand.

“No,” without even looking at them “I’m fine,”

“I don’t know where it is, but I’m sure it’s there.”

“So I would just stop my breath for a moment.”
